11/17/02 - Joe's Birthday

hi folks, hope all is well out there in memphis to montreal-land, especially back home in the land of snow. we are doing fine out here at the beautiful beach, where i got a chance to celebrate my 40-something birthday with my just bought vintage gretsch drum kit and my good, pal actor-songwriter chris mulkey and his lovely wife actor-painter karen landry. karen and chris gave me an original beach painting of karen's, which we love it and which seemed
custom made for this beach house. rick morris, soundman and music tech to the stars and his lovely wife to be alberta and daughter megan, gave me a chance to get some fine music from my past (summer of '69 always!) ...thanks to megan for taking the snaps of chris, myself and the drums (also big thanks to my great bud, drummer to the stars john ferraro for finding me the charlie/levon kit!).


we had a fine turkey time. we hope you all did too. we hope you all have a happy and safe holiday, pray for peace and let's all work on that goodwill towards everybody and everything bit too!
